Myron “Dolly” Raymond Busche, 96, Wausau, died Friday November 17, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Myron was born May 30, 1921 in the Town of Eau Plaine to the late Henry and Mary (Furmanek-Treankler) Busche. He honorably served his country in the US Navy. Myron married Virginia Robertson on September 21, 1940 and the happy couple celebrated 70 years together prior to Ginny’s death on October 24, 2010. The couple was blessed with four children: Rodney, Beverly, Gary and Tim. Myron worked for 3M for over 41 years supporting his family.
Myron was a good husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was well loved by all who knew him. While Ginny was known as the “Lefsa Queen”, Myron became known as the “Potato Man” for hauling many sacks of potatoes downstairs at church for her. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, visiting the casino and collecting roosters. Myron’s favorite pastime was fishing year round, especially ice-fishing during the winter. Retirement saw Myron and Virginia traveling in their RV seeing America first hand.
Myron is survived by his loving children, Rodney (Patricia) Busche, Roscoe, IL, Beverly (Larry) Cannady, Flat Rock, NC, Gary (Patti), Wausau and Tim (Debbie) Busche, Mazomanie; grandchildren, Connie Cannady (Sam), Randy (Julie) Cannady, Craig Busche, Carrie (Arquimedes) Diaz, Donny Busche, Nicole Busche, Corey Busche and Scott Busche; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Elaina Sahf and Charles and Henry Diaz and Bailey Busche; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, November 24, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 630 Adams St. Wausau. Reverend Dr. Niveen Sarras will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church on Friday. Entombment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
