Nancy Haisan

Nancy Kay (Overbeck) Haisan, 60, of Wausau, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017, at her home. She was born March 29, 1956, in Wausau, daughter of the late Gustav and Pauline (Rankel) Overbeck. She attended school in Wausau, graduating from East High School in 1975. Nancy continued her education at Northcentral Technical College where she attended the Clerk Typist Program.
Nancy worked various jobs, but most of her life was spent at Northcentral Health Care as a dietary aide. On April 29, 2001 she was united in marriage to David Haisan and they made their home in Wausau.
Nancy was a kind and gentle person. She loved all animals but especially her two cats, Beaver and Lukie.
She is survived by her husband David, two sisters, Carol (John) Hagen of Wausau, and Julee (Dan) Pelot of Merrill; a brother Bill (Debbie) Overbeck of Rothschild; a brother in law John (Debbie) Haisan of Weston and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a service at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Grace United Church of Christ in Wausau. Rev. Julie Goranson will officiate.
