Nancy Marten

Nancy L. Marten, 76, of Ringle, is now walking hand in hand with our Lord in heaven. Her death came Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Hospice House under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Nancy was born August 12, 1938 in Wausau, WI, daughter of the late William H. and Adelia C. (Laabs) Radtke. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Wausau East High School in 1956. Nancy was united in marriage to Cornelius "Bud" Marten at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Wausau.
Nancy and Bud made their home on a farm near Ringle where she enjoyed helping around the farm and raised her four daughters. She enjoyed baking, gardening, traveling, embroidering, sewing, and crocheting.
Nancy lived with a strong love of her faith and her family. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Town of Easton where she volunteered as much as she could.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Marten of Eland, WI, Karen Marten and Ronda Marten both of Ringle, WI, three grandchildren, Adam (Brittany) Marten, David (Heidi Wiedenhoft) Lewis, and Teresa (Sean Silva) Lewis, a son-in-law Garth Hendrickson of Merrill, WI, a brother DuWayne (Carolyn) Radtke of Green Bay, WI, and a sister Gloria (Cleman Jr.) Shelbrack of Wausau, WI.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Bud in January of 2002, a daughter Cheryl Hendrickson, three brothers, Bill, Elmer and Leonard and three sisters, Florence, Ellen and Lillian.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Town of Easton, E10723 County Road Z with Rev. Mark Lewis officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with burial in the church cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the people from Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services and the Aging and Disability Resource Center's Meals on Wheels program for the loving care they gave and the concern they showed to Nancy.
