Nancy Wilde

Nancy was born July 20th 1937, the daughter of the late Henry P. and Florence A. (Knaack) Jojade, in Wausau. On September 14th 1957, she was united in marriage to Gerald E. Wilde at Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church, now Grace United Church of Christ.

Nancy worked as a secretary until she left to raise her children and help run the family business. She loved spending time with her family, reading, bird watching, doing crossword puzzles, and eating strawberries. One of her fondest memories was the trip out East she took with her family to celebrate her and Gerald's 50th wedding anniversary. She battled a number of health issues but inspired all she met with her strength, kindness and dignity.

On Tuesday, March 19th 2013, Nancy Lea Wilde died at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston, WI. She was 75 years old.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Gerald, Schofield; two children, Richard G. Wilde, Somerville, NJ, and Kay E. Wilde, Chicago, IL; and other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 22nd, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. The Reverend Wayne Drueck will officiate. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive guests at the funeral home, on Friday, beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. You may sign our family guestbook at www.helke.com.
