Olive Fuhrmann

Olive Marie Fuhrmann, 99 of Wausau, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Mt. View Care Center in Wausau.
She was born June 14, 1915 in Prairie Lake, Barron County, WI to the late Ole and Caroline Marie (Amundson) Hegna. Olive received her education in Cameron, WI where she graduated from high school in 1933. On February 4, 1944 she married Martin Richard Fuhrmann in Bessemer, MI.
Martin and Olive made their home in Wausau all their married life where she was employed at Marathon Battery and Wisconsin Box for many years. After their retirement they continued to make Wausau their home.
Olive's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking and was well known for her pies for family holidays. Her faith was very important and active in the Wausau Bible Church, bible study and ladies fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, Violet, Margaret and Gertie, seven brothers, Milo, Walter, Norman, Floyd, Emil, Clarence and Raymond.
She is survived by her daughter Karen (Henry) Ristow of Wausau, four grandchildren, Kristine Fleming, Sheila (Joel) Mork, Keith (Jessica) Ristow, and Heather Ristow, eight great grandchildren, Erik, Bobbie Jo, Dannielle, Alyssa, Austin, Mikayla Jo, Kasen and Ryan, four great great grandchildren, Blake, Isabelle, Lexie and Brelyn and one brother Norman Hegna of Portland, OR.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Wausau Bible Church with Pastor Chris Juvinall officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 1-3PM at Helke Funeral Home and after 10:00AM Monday at the church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau.
