Orville Krueger, 94, of Wausau, died Wednesday November 18, 2009 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
Orville was born April 9, 1915 in Athens to the late Otto and Josephine (Dettinger) Krueger. He married Marguerite Nowacki on November 12, 1938 in Athens. Marguerite preceded him in death on December 5, 2008. Orville worked at First American Bank until his retirement in 1977. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, polka dancing, baseball games and watching T.V. church services.
Survivors include two daughters; Gwen Ryan of Calif., and Collette Youngberg of Huntsville, Ala., two sons; James (Roxanne) Krueger of Franklin and Dennis Krueger of Menasha, 12 grandchildren, 17great grandchildren, two brothers; Donald (Carolyn) Krueger and Erlyn (Leslie) Krueger both of Ore. , and two sisters; Geraldine Anderson of Hingham, and Doris Habeck of Athens.
Besides his wife and parents, Orville was preceded in death by four sisters; Elvira, Esther, Irene and Lucille.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday November 23, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau, on Stewart Ave. Officiating will be the Reverend Gary Schultz. Burial will be in Pine grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. The Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, is assisting the family with arrangements.
