Otto P. Drehmel, 97, Wausau, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016, at North Central Health Care Center, Wausau.
Otto was born in Wausau May 8, 1918, son of the late Gutlieb and Marie (Strehlow) Drehmel. He was raised on a farm in the Town of Maine and then began farming. On March 20, 1943, he married Faye Dunbar.
He worked as a mechanic most of his life and was employed as the Motor Pool Supervisor for the City of Wausau until his retirement. After his retirement he volunteered at the Council on Aging and North Central Health Care Center.
Otto is survived by a son John (Peggy) Drehmel, daughter Darla (Bob) Weaver, grandchildren; Jennifer (Tom) Doyen, Justine (Todd) Deville, Kevin (Amy) Drehmel, Heather (Matthew) Savage, Rochelle (Jeremy) Zilisch and many great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at the Helke Funeral Home in Wausau. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.
