Patricia "Patti" Chesbrough, 56, Wausau died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 following a painful battle with Chronic Lyme Disease.
Patti was born on June 7, 1960 in Stevens Point to Chester and Elvera (Muto) Kluck. She graduated from Stevens Point High School in 1978 and was a very proud cheerleader for the Panthers. Patti met her future husband, Bill Chesbrough, when they were in grade school. They were friends for many years before getting married on December 3, 1983 in Stevens Point. They shared a love few are lucky to experience. The couple was blessed with two children: Justin and Aubrey. Over the years Patti worked many places, most recently for Island Place and Primrose in the administration and activities departments.
Patti was an incredible wife, mother and grandmother. More importantly, Patti possessed a huge heart that always had room for one more. She cared for every person she ever met no matter how briefly and would remember every detail about them even years later. Patti's generosity knew no bounds, always seeking to help those around her who needed it. This was often a sympathetic ear, or $20 to a homeless person in California, most often though it was to cheer up and make those around her happy. Patti enjoyed entertaining, especially having her children's friends over while they grew up and becoming "Mom Chesbrough" to each and every one. Patti had an uncanny ability to make someone she just met feel "at home", and welcome in her home. Free time often found her at the cottage with Bill in Minocqua, tirelessly working in her cherished garden or going to flea markets and garage sales to find a deal. Wherever she was, she was making new and lifelong friends.
Patti is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Bill; children, Justin Cole (Kayte) Chesbrough and Aubrey Olea (Austin) Baker; grandchildren, Owen William Chesbrough, Paisley Jane Chesbrough and Amadeus Orion Baker; parents, Chester and Elvera Kluck; siblings, Gary (Tamara) Kluck, Debbie (Mark) Oksiuta, Barb Kluck, Karen (Mark) Mathison, Kevin (Angela) Kluck and Brian (Anne) Kluck; and extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Kluck.
