Phyllis Hackbarth, 86, of Wausau passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 17, 2016.
Phyllis was born August 3, 1930 in Wausau to the late Edward and Anna Schultz. On October 27, 1950, she married Glenn Hackbarth in Minnesota. Phyllis and Glenn made their home in Wausau raising their four children. Glenn was an accountant at 29 Super Foods and Phyllis was a homemaker. They were long-time members and volunteers of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and school. Phyllis loved the color orange and enjoyed gardening, reading, and crocheting in her spare time. Phyllis was an excellent cook and loved to bake everything from scratch, especially her homemade pies. She was also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers during the Brett Favre era.
Survivors include her children, Susan Hackbarth of Wausau, Sandra Hackbarth of Antigo, Scott Hackbarth of Wausau, and Todd (Sue) Hackbarth of Wausau; four grandchildren, Michalene Johnson, Clinton Hackbarth, Kent Hackbarth, and Thomas Dillon; two great grandchildren, Mason and Kaiden Hoecherl; and her canine friends, Sable and Eddie. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, two brothers; Dale and Silas Schultz, and her beloved canine friends; Ginger and Nutmeg.
Private family services were held. Entombment took place in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com
