Richard Spoores

Richard "Rick" Wayne Spoores, 62, of Wausau died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at St. Clare's Hospital surrounded by family after a four month battle with stage four lung cancer.
He was born August 3, 1953 in Keokuk, IA. Rick married Anna Swenson on October 8, 1988 in Pagosa Springs, CO. He recently retired as an over the road truck driver having driven for over forty years. Rick will be greatly missed by his wife, Anna Spoores, children, Lorelei (Morgan) Coscio, Kyle (Pang Schroeder) Spoores, Desiree Spoores, grandchildren, McKenna, Grayson, Preston Richard, Amelia, Gabrielle, Andrea and many nieces and nephews. Rick was a mentor and considered a Dad by many. His whole family was his pride and joy.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau. Friends may call on Sunday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services. Full military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10.
