Richard Wolfe, 83, left us for eternity with our heavenly father January 12, 2014, at home under hospice care, surrounded by loving family following a courageous 13-year battle with Parkinson's disease.
Richard was born July 28, 1930 in Wausau to the late Arthur and Mabel (Matson) Wolfe. He is a graduate of Wausau High School.
After graduating from L.I.F.E. Bible College in Los Angeles, he became a soldier in the army of Jesus Christ our Lord, always taking the time to share the salvation of God's forgiveness and love. He volunteered as a fill in pastor at area churches and maintained a Sunday morning weekly radio broadcast for many years.
Professionally, he was a mechanic by trade, finishing his career as an inspector at Drott/JI Case. He was known as a great storyteller with a good sense of humor. In his spare time he enjoyed repairing cars, camping, boating, and talking with everyone.
He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 59 years Delores "Dear One," children Debra (Chuck) Hall, Steve (Linda) Wolfe, Patty (Andy) Fawley, Becky Kirksey, Kathy Sforza, Dave (Kellie) Wolfe, Dan Wolfe, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He passed on his deeply rooted values of hard work, service to others, and love of family to everyone he met.
He now joins his brother Harlan, and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 18 at Highland Community Church (6615 County Road J, Weston). Reverend Ken Moberg will officiate.
