Robert Barnowsky

Robert A. Barnowsky, 57, passed away Tuesday June 23, 2009, at his home, in Schofield.


He was born December 6 th 1951, in Antigo, son of the late Leonard and Ruth (Hanke) Barnowsky. He graduated from Antigo High School in 1970, and went on to earn his degree in machine tool from Northcentral Technical College, in Wausau. He worked at Jarp Industries his entire career, spanning 38 years. He spoke often and highly of Jarp, and all the wonderful friends he made there.


Bob loved the outdoors and was always an avid deer hunter. A great passion of his was baseball, playing and coaching the sport for most of his life. He was a true Brewer and Packer fan.


He was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, in Schofield.


Bob is survived by his daughter Ashley (Nick Freund) Barnowsky, Wausau; son, Matthew Barnowsky, Green Bay; sister, Shirley (Bruce) Krenz, Merrill; brother, Daniel (Cathy) Barnowsky, St. Cloud, MN; 3 nephews, Ryan (Anna) Marciniak, Germantown, Paul (Tara) Marciniak, Wausau, and Neil Marciniak, Denver, CO; 3 nieces, Caron, Corrie, and Callie Barnowsky, all of St. Cloud, MN; 3 great nieces, Elizabeth, Nadia, and Elexa; and 2 great nephews, Ean and Michael.


Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, John Barnowsky.


Bob will be sadly missed by all and remembered most for his easy-going, fun-loving, and kind-hearted spirit.



A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. The Reverend Raymond Connor will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
