Robert J. Fleischman, 50, from Merrill, WI, entered into eternal life on July 20, 2017.
Rob was born September 4, 1966 to Floyd and Iona Fleischman. Rob served in the Army 82nd Airborne. He enjoyed bow hunting, fishing with his grandsons, cheering for the Packers, especially in Lambeau, cooking for his family, he was the grill master, spending time with his dog Sadie, his best friend and wife Cindy, and their family. He will be remembered as an incredible husband, amazing father, exceptional grandfather- P-Pa, loving son, brother, and uncle.
Rob is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 13 years, Cindy Fleischman; son, CJ Fleischman; nine very loved step-children and their spouses, Darcie (Eric) Burtch, Nathan Buhse, Brittany (Wesley) Knox, Lindsey (Todd) Childs, Angus Buhse, Ashley (Justice) Latzig, Chelsey Buhse, Shonda Buhse, and Brianna Buhse; and 10 of his pride and joy grandchildren, Kayla, Malachi, Brooklyn, Chad, Isabele, Isaac, Cartter, Kaydence, Grayson, and Lilyann will grace our family in October. Also survived by his hearts, his mother, Iona Forster Fleischman; mother-in-law, Esther Hartig; friend and brother-in-law, Paul Hartig; sister, Linda (Jim) Fox; brother, Floyd Fleischman Jr.; sister, Judy Damp; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Rob is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Fleischman Sr.; sister, Geraldine Fleischman; nephew, Jesse Fleischman; grandparents, Albert and Minnie and John and Mary Fleischman.
The celebration of Rob’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau. Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM. The family does encourage you to wear Packers and/or Camo, as a tribute to a couple of Rob’s favorite things.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for family and friends to bring plants as a way to help keep Rob’s memory alive.
