Robert Love, Jr.

A celebration of life will be on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm at Helke Funeral Home in Wausau for Robert "Bob" A. Love, Jr., age 66, who passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Inurnment will be at Big Hill Cemetery in Taegesville.

Robert "Bob" was born on September 8, 1958, in Milwaukee, to Robert Sr. and Doris (Guthrie) Love. He grew up in Milwaukee and went to school near Milwaukee. Bob met the love of his life, Stephen Loftus, and they had been together for 43 years. He lived most of his life in Wausau and worked numerous jobs throughout his life. Bob and Steve raised their nephew, Jaden and several other relatives throughout their lives. He was so proud of Jaden and his family. Bob was excellent with technology, ancestry and working on Genealogy with cousin Angie, collecting antiques, and was an amazing care giver for his parents. He was always helping others. Bob will be remembered for his kind heart, charisma, intelligence, and great sense of humor.

Bob is survived by his significant other, Stephen Loftus of Wausau; brothers, Bradley (Barb) Love and Michael Love; sisters, Charlotte (Tony) Watts and Laurie (Steve) Goetsch; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Love; a brother, Jeffrey Love; a sister, Jaqueline Love; and nephew, Erik Carrow.
