Ronald Klatt

Ronald L. Klatt, 73, of Wausau died suddenly Friday, January 23, 2015 at his home in the Town of Wausau.

Ronald was born on July 7th, 1941 in Wausau, son of the late Gilbert and Irene (Richmond) Klatt. Irene later divorced Gilbert and married Alvin Dallman, who raised Ronald "Butch" and his three brothers. He was united in marriage on September 4, 1965 to Joyce Weyneth in Pine City, MN. He was looking forward to celebrating his 50th Wedding Anniversary in September.

Ron was a Veteran of the US Navy. He was employed at Wausau Papers before taking a position as a Iron Worker at PDM Bridge, retiring after over 25 years. He liked to try new business ventures such as a Ceramic shop in Wausau named 6th Street Ceramics and Ginseng farming. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with family as well as his trips to the casino. For many years he was fond of his time spent at the Wisconsin Valley Fair watching his Grandchildren enjoying the day. He always valued his family ties and was happiest spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Joyce of Wausau, three daughters, Sherry (Roger) Nordquist of Wausau, Patty (Mark) Huhtala of Marinette, WI and Linda Klatt of Wausau, four grandchildren, Heidi, Dylan, Hannah and Hailey, his father Alvin Dallman of Weston, one brother Jerry Klatt of Wausau, one sister-in-law Lorraine Klatt of Stratford, aunt Dorothy Boushley of Wausau, and cousins Gene (Shelly) Boushley and Gary (Sharon) Boushley all of Schofield.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene and two brothers, Clifford and Earl Klatt.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce Street, Wausau with Pastor Julie Goranson of Grace United Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
