Rose D. Crum, 95, passed away peacefully Friday, December 2nd, 2016 surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed. Rose lived a full life. She was born September 14, 1921, in the Town of Berlin, WI to the late Gustav and Otillie (Kingbaum) Zimmerman. She married James W. Crum on November 23, 1946, in Wausau, WI at Zion Lutheran Church. They moved to Glidden, WI, and started farming there. Later in life, Rose worked as a CNA at the former Wausau Hospital. She loved helping people. In 1958, Rose and her late husband, James, adopted a son, Glenn Arthur, in 1960 they adopted another son, David James, and in 1962 they adopted a daughter Deborah Rae. Rose enjoyed bowling, going to church, reading, playing bingo, and playing solitaire. But what she loved doing most in life was raising her children, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had enough hugs for everyone.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Deborah Crum, her daughter-in-law, JoAnn Crum, grandchildren, Sara (Troy) Faber, Travis (Nicky) Thurs, Erin (Larry) Langbecker, Casey (Charlie) Duerr and Renee (Scott) Krautkramer and 8 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Grace, Landon, Chloe, Owen, Jaslynn, Jaxon, and Jameson. Rose was preceded in death by her husband James, sons Glenn and David, and many brothers and sisters.
