Royal E Nottleson

Royal "Roy" Ernst Nottleson , born on July 5, 1940, in Wisconsin, passed away on August 20, 2024. Known to his friends and loved ones as a man with a sharp mind and a humorous spirit. After attending the University of Wisconsin campuses in Stevens Point and Oshkosh, Roy met and married the love of his life in Seattle. Together, they moved to California to raise their family before returning to the Midwest to enjoy retirement.

Roy dedicated his career to sales and marketing in the manufacturing industry. In his free time, Roy found joy in simple pleasures like fishing, target shooting, and cooking. He had a special bond with wildlife, always ready to feed his furry friends and share a laugh with those around him. His sense of humor and warmth brought light to every room he entered.

Roy will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 56 years, Dolores Nottleson. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in the hearts of his children Tina (Mark) Bachorz, Dana (Doug) Bundy, and Lisa (Scott) Janssen, as well as his cherished grandchildren April (Damon), Kristen (Tony), Ryan, Petra, Neilla, Cameron, and Beckett; great-grandchildren Anna, Logan, Henry, Madelyn, Olivia, Anthony, Dylan, Alexa, and Aubrey, and great great grandson, Kaden.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Barbara Taylor and David Nottleson.

A visitation will be held for Roy on Saturday, August 24 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm.

Roy's legacy of laughter and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
