Rozella "Rosie" Palesh was born January 10, 1930, in the town of Easton to the late Fred and Nona (Bielke) Kalinke. Rosie grew up on her parent's farm in the town of Easton. On June 14, 1947, she married Donald Palesh at Zion Lutheran Church, town of Easton. They dairy farmed in the town of Hewitt while raising their four children, Gary, Michael, Greg, and Penny. As a farm wife, Rosie always kept busy and enjoyed tending to her large flower gardens, sewing, and quilting. She loved cooking and baking for her family, especially remembered for her made from scratch biscuits.
At the age of 83, Rosie passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of the town of Hewitt; three children, Gary (Betsy) Palesh of Hudson, Greg Palesh of the town of Hewitt, Penny (Jim) Jirschele of Rothschild; seven grandchildren, Nikki (Tomas) Palesh, Jamie (Mick) Pagels, Sara Palesh, Jeremy Palesh, Derek (fiancé, Katie Heisler) Palesh, Aaron Jirschele, Jana (Jason) Danay; and six great grandchildren, Jarod, Mason, Marshall and Zander Palesh, Landry and Zander Danay.
Rosie was preceded in death by her son, Michael; two brothers, Harold and Elroy; and two sisters, Adeline and Mavis.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at Restlawn Memorial Park, town of Texas.
