Ruth Lombard

Ruth Violet Lombard, 91, was called home to be with her Lord on December 29th 2012, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice, at Poplar Place, Rothschild.

She was born July 20th 1921, the daughter of the late Elmer and Minnie (Duvie) Krueger. On May 11th 1941, she was united in marriage to LeRoy "Ole" Lombard, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. They were married for 41 years, prior to his death on November 13th 1989.

For over 25 years, Ruth was employed at the CTL Company, retiring at the age of 81. She also was employed at S. S. Kreske's and Marathon Rubber. She was a past member of the DAV Auxiliary and belonged to Our Savior's Lutheran Church since 1942.

Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Dennis (Jane), Brillion, WI, and Rick (Judy), Wausau; six grandchildren, Rob Lombard, Chad Lombard, Jenni (Kevin) Zaitz, Jill (Jeremy) Taylor, Brian Kimbel, and Brent (Sara) Kimbel; and eight great-grandchildren, Miranda Lombard, Lauren, Logan, and Lillie Zaitz, Addison and Riley Taylor, and David and Alex Kimbel.

Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.

A funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m., Monday, December 31st, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Robert Edwards will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive guests Monday, at church, beginning at 11 a.m., until the service.
