Ruth Russ

Ruth Russ, 72, formerly of Milwaukee passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Wausau Manor.

She was born August 24, 1943 in Wausau to the late Edward and Mildred (Knudson) Kleiber. Ruth was a 1961 graduate of Wausau High School. After receiving her training as a Certified Nursing Assistant, she moved to Milwaukee where she met and married Robert Russ. Ruth was employed at several Milwaukee nursing homes with the latest at Villa Clement Nursing Home. Several years after Robert passed away in 1983, Ruth met her special friend David. They enjoyed going to the casino and traveling all over the United States on Dave's Harley.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Hysell of Columbus, Ohio, thirteen grandchildren, two brothers, David Kleiber of Green Bay, Dennis (Kathy) Dobeck of Rothschild and five sisters, Shirley Wunrow of Wisconsin Rapids, Patricia (August) Kurth of Casa Grande, AZ, Janet Hickey of Wisconsin Rapids, Mary (Glen) Bennett of Port Edwards and Sharon Thompson of Wausau.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2016 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau. Roxanne Schubring will officiate. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Milwaukee. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
