Ruth Schreiber, 80, of Wausau passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, At St. Clare's Hospital, Weston, from Lung Cancer.
Ruth was born March 21, 1937, in Wausau to the late Edward and Margaret (Peterson) Lueck. She graduated from Wausau Senior High School and married Vernon Schreiber on May 17, 1958. Ruth worked at Runkel Abstract for several years while raising her family.
Nature and animals were Ruth's favorite companions. Chipmunks snatched peanuts from the top of her shoe. Deer would wait a few feet away while she filled the bird feeders for all the animals to enjoy.
Ruth is survived by her two sons, David (Susan) Schreiber, Wausau, and Keith (Brenda) Schreiber, Olive Branch, Mississippi, and two grandsons, Joshua and Mitchell Schreiber of Wausau. Ruth will also be missed by her sister, Peggy (Gary) Stanaway, Reno, Nevada, and their two sons, Michael and Matthew.
