Ruth Thompson, 86, died June 2, 2018 at Benedictine Living Community of Wausau.
She was born February 4, 1932, in Wausau, daughter of the late William and Alice (Bleier) Krake. On June 26, 1950, she married Jack K. Thompson at Saint Anne Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2009.
Ruth was an excellent cook and baker, and loved gardening. She was one of the founding members of Saint Anne’s Church and enjoyed serving on various church committees, and volunteering for several church activities.
Survivors include three children, Virginia “Ginny” (Larry) Jaeger; Patrick (Jenelle) Thompson; Susan (Vince) Lococo; grandchildren, Aaron Jaeger; Kimberly (Travis) Wasmundt; Jacob Thompson; Joshua (Megan) Thompson; Sal (Amber) Lococo; Cathy (Alan) Daniels; three great grandchildren, Faith and Bennett Thompson; Luca Daniels; one brother, David Krake; and two sisters, Betty Wiskowsi, and Carol Gill.
Besides her parents and husband, Jack, she was preceded in death by brothers, Benjamin, Franklin, and Harold Krake, sisters, Juanita Kramer, and Joyce Busko.
Per mom’s request, a private service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express our appreciation, to Benedictine, Hospice Care, Dr. Kevin O’Connell and Dr. Tom Strick, for the exceptional and compassionate care for our mother.
Our mother would not want us to mourn, but remember the joy, laughter and love we shared.
