Sabrina Monday

Sabrina Joy Monday, 3 month old daughter of Rev. Shiloh and Molly Monday of Wausau, WI, died unexpectedly as she slept in her home on Monday, September 30, 2013.

Sabrina was born in Salina, Kansas, on June 21, 2013, bringing great joy to her parents and five brothers and sisters, as well as to her loving church family there, St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran, where she shared her birthday with two members. Sabrina was born again into God's family through Holy Baptism on June 26, 2013. That she was thus connected to Jesus' death and resurrection and was brought to faith in him by the working of the Holy Spirit brings great comfort to her family and her many Christian friends. She is Jesus' little lamb whom he now folds to his breast in the eternal life he promises to all who trust in him.

Sabrina is survived by her parents, Shiloh and Molly, and five siblings: Samuel, 10; Sophia, 7; James ("Santi"), 6; Sonia, 4; and Susannah, 2, as well as all four grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. They love her, will miss her dark hair, bright eyes, chubby cheeks and beautiful smile, which they saw so much of during the short time she was with us, and look forward to meeting her again in the heavenly home of our true Father.

Sabrina was preceded in death by two siblings who were miscarried, by countless other Christian brothers and sisters, and by our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ "who has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel" (2 Timothy 1:10).

Helke Funeral Home of Wausau (www.helke.com) is in charge of arrangements. A visitation for Sabrina will be held on Thursday, October 3rd, from 4-7 pm at Mountain of the Lord Lutheran Church, 5506 Bittersweet Rd., Wausau (Town of Rib Mountain), WI 54401. The Christian Funeral will be held on Friday, October 4th at 10 am at Mountain of the Lord, with visitation beforehand and the committal and a luncheon following.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a Memorial in Sabrina's name to be used in Christian ministry to families with young children. Memorials may be directed to Mountain of the Lord Lutheran Church, 5506 Bittersweet Road, Wausau, WI 54401.
