Sandra Maahs

Sandra "Sandy" Maahs passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was born in Hamburg, WI on July 24, 1941 to Leonard and Doris Kelm. She married Walter Maahs Jr. on June 30, 1959.
Sandy worked for Wausau Insurance Companies for 25 years. After which she worked for her sons at Blue Willow Café for 11 years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Doris Kelm; husband, Walter Maahs; her son, Grant Maahs; and grandson, Jessub Maahs.
Sandy is survived by her son, Scott Maahs, Carson City, NV; daughter, Connie (Rob) Gustafson, Brantwood, WI; daughter-in-law, Carrie Maahs, Merrill, WI; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy (Don) Tucek, Wausau and brother, Jeff (Debra) Kelm, Sheboygan.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wausau at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Reverend Bruce Lamont will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, February 2, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau; continuing on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
