Sue Rahn will be remembered for her generous spirit and open heart to anyone in need. She thought nothing of opening her home while helping and serving others without expectations or recognition. She had a kind soul and was known as "Nana" to her many "kids".
Sue was born September 13, 1952 in Wausau to the late Vinard and Geraldine (Rickman) Cline. In 1970 she graduated from Wausau High School and three weeks later married the love of her life, Tom Rahn. They were married on June 20, 1970 at Zion Lutheran Church. Sue had worked in customer service for Wausau Insurance, Liberty Insurance and for the last three years at West Business Corp., Wausau. She enjoyed reading romance novels, cooking for family and friends and relaxing at the cabin with Tom.
At the age of 63, Sue passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Aspirus Hospice House.
Survivors include her husband, Tom of Schofield, her daughter, Amy (Tim Ridley) Matteson of Minneapolis, granddaughter, Tori, honorary grandchildren, Hannah, Tatianna, Nick and Micaela, sister, Nancy Mogensen of Wausau and two brothers, Donald Cline of Weston and Larry (Jeanne) Cline of Wausau.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 709 6th St., Wausau. Reverend Ted Gulhaugen will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
