Sylvia M. Lien, 93, Wausau died Friday, April 13, 2007 at Wausau Manor.
Sylvia was born in the town of Easton on November 20, 1913, daughter of the late Antone and Ragnhild (Ericson) Berg. She married Glenn Lien on Nov. 26, 1949 in Wausau. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1994.
She was the financial secretary for Wausau High School and later Wausau West until retiring in 1976. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1939, where she sang in the choir for 46 years and was active in the ILCW. She was also a member of the Sons of Norway Rib Fjell Lodge. Sylvia enjoyed traveling with her husband Glenn, and especially loved their trips to Norway.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Adams, Minneapolis, Minn.; son, Jim (Judi) Lien, Gilbertsville, Penn.; three grandchildren, Mari Adams, Phillip and Jennie Lien; sister-in-law, Eleanora Berg, Orville, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Robert Berg.
Services will be at 11am Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Sean Motley will officiate. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4pm until 6pm Tuesday, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and again from 10am until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wausau, or Bethany Lutheran Church, town of Easton.
