Terrie Kordus

Terrie was born April 16, 1946, in Wausau, to the late C. M. "Shorty" and Zadith (Lane) Salvador. She attended grade school and high school in Wausau, and college at UW – Stevens Point. Early in her life, Terrie managed Pah'lows and most recently was employed as a sales associate, at Cellcom, for many years, retiring in 2012.

Family was Terrie's number one priority; she cherished all the memories made throughout the years. Terrie's pride and joy were her granddaughters, Sydney and Katie. The memories of the last two trips she took with her beloved sisters to Savannah, GA and Montana will remain in their hearts for years to come. Terrie was a very talented jewelry maker and crafter, with a sharp eye for detail. She enjoyed counted cross stitch and baking desserts; and graciously volunteered time helping Covenant Community Church with the Festival of Trees and other ministries.

Terrie believed that the joy you give to others is the joy that comes back to you. She lived this motto by loving life and the people that surrounded her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all her family and friends. Throughout the past few weeks, Terrie found strength and comfort in the song, "I Can Only Imagine."

On Tuesday, March 18, 2014, Terrie Lee Kordus passed away peacefully, at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau, with her loving family at her side.

Terrie will be remembered by her two sons, Christopher, Tucson, AZ, and Jason, Weston; two granddaughters, Sydney, Tucson, and Katie, Milwaukee; two sisters, Lillian Krause, Wausau, and Maribeth Schulz, Clancy, MT; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Dona Butenhoff, Betti Dustin, Virginia Crotteau, and Jane Raymond.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 26th, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Family will receive guests on Wednesday, at the funeral home, beginning at 5 p.m. until the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital – Oncology Unit; along with the staff at the Aspirus Hospice House for the dedicated care provided to Terrie and the family.
