Thomas Klumpyan

Thomas "Tom" Raymond Klumpyan, 61, of Kronenwetter, born on August 18, 1952, in Fond du Lac, WI, to Harvey and Henrietta (Heier) Klumpyan, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 25, 2014.

Tom graduated from Wausau West High School in 1972. He met Leta (Sommerfeldt) Lee, and on December 10, 1979, they were married at the bride's home on Bridge Street, in Wausau, by a Justice of the Peace. Tom enjoyed snowmobiling and ice fishing with his father.

Tom was employed for 13 years with Puroiator Courier, and in 1990 with Marathon Mail Service as a truck driver until his recent illness. He served in the National Guard for several years. Tom was a kind, loving husband, and caretaker.

His legacy will live on in the hearts of his wife of 34 years, Leta; parents, Harvey and Henrietta Klumpyan; two sisters, Jackie (Gary) Pacholke of Athens and Paulette (John) Finke of Wausau; two brothers, Mark (Laurie) Klumpyan of Birnamwood and Jim of Lake Havasu City, AZ; four step-children; seven grandchildren; 14+ great-grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Bethany Baptist Church, 6601 Alderson St., Weston, with Pastor Kim Swenson officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 12 noon until the time of service at the church. Entombment will be in Restlawn Chapel Mausoleum, town of Texas, on Monday, February 3, 2014, at 9:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Aspirus Regional Cancer Center or Humane Society of Marathon County.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Gerald Harris, Dr. Harish Ahuja, Dr. Darryl Barton, and the nurses and staff of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services for the excellent care provided to Tom. Also a special thank you to all of the neighbors that have been so supportive during this time.
