Tini Westerdyk

Tini Westerdyk, 91, of Wausau passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Rennes Health and Rehab.

Tini was born in The Netherlands on December 21, 1933 to Leonardus and Tryntje (Dekker) Brinksma. Tini married Herman Weserdyk on March 3, 1955 in The Netherlands. A few years later, in 1957, they made the journey to the United States, and to Wisconsin. With a sponsor from Holland, Michigan, they were able to start their lives in the United States. Together Tini and Herman owned and operated a successful business in Wausau for 30 years - Dutchmaster Floor and Wall Service, where Tini took care of the business and bookkeeping. 

Tini enjoyed camping, fishing on Lake Superior, traveling and taking cruises with Herman. She also enjoyed the company of her dogs.

Tini is survived by one grandson Bren Westerdyk; many friends and family in The Netherlands; and friends Corrine Kraimer, Yvonne Sitko and Ben Koerten.

Besides her parents, Tini was preceded in death by her husband Herman and son Jeffrey.

Memorial Service for Tini will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St, Wausau. Visitation will take place from 10:30 until the time of service at the funeral home on Monday.
