Veronica "Verna" Maddock, 103, of Wausau, died on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Marywood Center under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice. She was born to the late Joseph and Anna (Kessler) Muchinski on May 5, 1907 in Marathon City. Verna married Lester Maddock on August 24, 1935 in Wausau. She was a bookkeeper at Larson Cleaners.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, and friends, Nirmala and Mahes Maheswaran. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Parish on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11:00 AM by Fr. Gerald Pehler, OFM Cap. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Wausau. Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
