Virginia Busche

Virginia "Ginny" Evelyn Busche, 88, Wausau, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Virginia Robertson was born January 8, 1922 at home in the Town of Frankfort to the late Earle and Mildred (Wicker) Robertson. She graduated from Stratford High school. Virginia married Myron Busche on September 21, 1940 and the happy couple celebrated 70 years together. At home, Virginia was a wonderful mother to her four children and homemaker throughout her life. She was a dedicated member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she volunteered frequently and served as Financial Secretary for over 20 years. "Ginny" held various positions in the Women of the Church in addition to being the "Lefsa Queen". In her free time, Virginia enjoyed fishing with Myron, cross-stitching, and crosswords. Retirement saw Myron and Virginia traveling in their RV seeing America first hand.

Virginia is survived by her beloved husband, Myron; children, Rodney (Patricia) Busche, Roscoe, IL, Beverly (Larry) Cannady, Hendersonville, NC, Gary (Patti), Wausau and Tim (Debbie) Busche, Mazomanie; grandchildren, Connie (Scott) Sahf, Randy (Julie) Cannady, Craig Busche, Carrie (Arquimedes) Diaz, Donny Busche, Nicole Busche, Corey Busche and Scott Busche; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Elaina Sahf and Charles and Henry Diaz; brother, Robert (Betty Jane) Robertson, Haines City, FL; and many extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday October 29, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 630 Adams St. Wausau. Reverend Sean Motley will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St. Wausau, resuming at noon on Friday at the church until the time of the funeral.
