Walter “Pee-Wee” Joseph Schreiber Jr., 77, Wausau, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Aspirus Hospice House under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Pee-Wee was born June 18, 1940 in Wausau to the late Walter A. and Evelyn “Ðolly” (Pecha) Schreiber Sr. He was a very gentle and kind man with a great sense of humor. Pee-Wee enjoyed visiting with friends and family and was a good uncle to his niece and nephew. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Packers play and NASCAR with his good friend Bill. Pee-Wee was a dedicated life-long member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Pee-Wee is survived by his nephew and niece, Alan Goetsch of Wausau and Connie (Kevin) Koppa of Hatley; great-nephews, Kyle (Amanda) and Cody Koppa; extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Arlene Goetsch.
The funeral service for Pee-Wee will be at 4:00 PM on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Pastor Jeff Mahnke will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Monday at the church. Burial will take place at Mosinee Cemetery at a later date.
A sincere word of thanks goes to the doctors, nurses and staff of Aspirus Wausau Hospital and the Hospice House for their tender care for Pee-Wee during his final weeks.
