William "Bud" Petrick, 84, of Wausau passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at Wausau Manor.
He was born April 13, 1928 in the town of Wein to the late William and Lula (Marquard) Petrick. Bud married Milda Braunel on September 4, 1948 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon City.
He retired from James River in 1990 after 37 years of service. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Bud did volunteer work, participated in Bible Study and always willing help in church and school repairs. He was an avid golfer playing in the James River league at American Legion. His other pastimes included hunting, fishing, woodworking and camping with his family. Bud and Milda enjoyed traveling throughout the United States as well as numerous fishing trips to Canada and winter RV trips to Arizona.
The loves of his life were his wife, children and grandchildren. Bud's surviving relatives include his wife Milda of Wausau, three sons, David (Beverly) Petrick of Spirit Lake, IA, Dan (Kathleen) Petrick of St. Charles, IL, Carlo (Linda) Petrick of Port Washington, two daughters, Susanne(Bill Preuss) Thorson of Birnamwood, Lois (Roger) Watson of Mosinee and eight grandchildren, Christopher Petrick, Elizabeth and Lisa Petrick, Amanda (Norm) Reynolds, Corey Petrick, Eric Thorson, Katie (Mark) Kamin and Alec Watson.
Bud was preceded in death by his son-in-law- Roger Thorson, two brothers, Harvey and Willis and two sisters, Marion Passow and Pearl Freese.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 13, 3012 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Reverend Gary Schultz will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Park . Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
